Food Safety Policy

We, the management of Pitsana Mills is committed to the implementation of the ISO 22000:2018 food safety management system to ensure the distribution and supply of safe food products, assured quality, to consistently meet customer needs and expectations to enhance customer satisfactions.

It is the intention of Pitsana Mills to ensure the processing of the highest quality food products under strictly hygienic conditions to assure food safety and quality.

Scope

Milling of maize and repacking of grain and pulses from receiving of raw materials through processing to dispatch.

We have a documented Food Safety Management System with measurable objectives which is implemented, maintained, and updated.
This Policy has been produced through effective hazard analysis of the operations and food items processed at Pitsana Mills operation.

In order to achieve our objective, we shall rigorously adhere to relevant statutory and regulatory food safety requirements and meet our customer requirements.

Review of Food Safety System

We shall review the Food Safety Management System at planned intervals to ensure its continued suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness.
The Food Safety Management System will be audited annually by an independent auditing certification body.

Training

Continuous training and skills development will be provided to ensure all management and employees understand the Food Safety Management Systems Policies and Procedures make every effort to adhere
to written procedures.

We have implemented a training program for all employees which cover good personal hygiene and the hygienic handling of food at beginning of employment and is re-enforced and updated at appropriate intervals.

Customer Complaints

To evaluate and assess customer requirements and demonstrate conformity to mutually agreed customer
requirements that relate to food safety, therefore enhancing customer satisfaction.

Traceability of food items supplied

All food items distributed will be adequately labeled to enable full traceability and to ensure effective recall procedures if necessary.

Resources

Management commits to provide all necessary adequate resources to establish, implement, maintain and continually improve the food safety management system.

It is our, the management of Pitsana Mills’ aim to operate the business with all due diligence and it regards the Food Safety Management System as top priority, in line with productivity and profitability.
